UK academics urge Royal Society to blame someone else for their carbon footprints. I wonder how many of them are climate or energy experts? Presumably they’ll all cease flying around the world to attend conferences in an effort to reduce emissions.
What would be the point of them condemning it. We will need fossile fuels for decades to come.
I’m frustrated that scientist have spent so much time on research instead of action. I’m frustrated that every wind turbine meets with opposition. I want a reliable energy. Yes we need to reduced use of fossil fuels but also need to reduce consumption (eg how many pairs of shoes do we really need) and in my opinion population. Less people, less consumption, less planning delays, phase out fossil fuels as fast as we can.
