Unfortuantley construction by and large is a race to the bottom on price. Offsite modular construction is praised as a saviour providing savings gained in efficiency of design, streamlined procurement, well established supply chains yada yada… except when those supply chains and procurement methods fail the manufacturers are left scrabbling to fufil orders by any means necessary.
It is curious that this was completed 6 months after the pandemic hit, i’d be willing to bet this had an adverse impact on the quality of the units delivered.
