  1. You’ve provided no information on why you wouldn’t live in Clonee. It’s 30 minutes from the city centre by car, less than an hour by public transport, and seems to have a lot of nearby local amenities. Sure, the house is pricey, but it’s a lovely house if you’ve got the means and need to be that close to Dublin with a few bedrooms.

  2. i drive passed these houses every day, they are nice and all but worth nowhere near 1M+, nothing wrong with the area as such but the price is ridiculous.

  3. Man annoyed because he doesn’t want to live in a £1.2M house in Clonee

  4. I saw this listing a few days ago on my daily browse and I felt something break in my brain. This country is impossible.

  5. If they can afford it then they’re probably good with money and in all likelihood this isn’t a bad investment. If you can’t afford it it’s a terrible investment.

  6. I would live in south Dublin for 1.2M

I don’t even know where Meath is let alone Clonee

  7. It’s not for me, but it’s a massive gaff on the border and well situated for commuting, a private gated community and by the looks of it, incredible finishings. But the +1m price tag is a bit silly – 800k I could see.

  8. If we had that money to spend on a property it would be a villa someplace nicevand sunny…

  9. That money to still live in a housing estate in the commuter belt. Feels like they are aiming squarely between two types of house buyer and hitting no one.

  10. If my address is Meath and I’ve spent 1.2M I definitely don’t want to be that close to other houses.

  11. In Clonee village just as you’re headed towards Dunboyne there is apartment complex on the right and field on the left. The absolute stink of sillage some months when you’re passing by on the bus in there always would be a deal breaker for me as I feel in the summer people who live around there have no choice but to keep their windows closed and fans and air fresheners going

  12. 5 beds 4 baths 235sq/m big front and back garden, seems priced about right. It’s 2.5x the price of a 3 bed 3 bath in Adamstown…etc with half the sq/m and no front garden with a smaller back garden. Meath or not that is a moderately rich person’s house.

  13. If I had that money to burn I would leave Ireland for a sunny place

  14. Someone said to me recently that you have to be a millionaire now to be middle class now in lreland. I think that might be true.
