Rejecting the fact that Cyprus was in conflict since 10 years before the 20th of July, 1974 is a very prospective idea…
These people really don’t understand that if Turkey is not given F16 or F35, they will use every resource they have and do it themselves..

The US system is far better than the “worst than Bosnia” system that some want to impose on Cyprus.
The states have substantial autonomy, but at the same time:
– All citizens are equal and free to move to any state of their country they want with full political rights. There is no “Black’s State” or “White’s State”. The whole country belongs to all its citizens.
– For the election of the president / vice president the amount of say (electors) that each state has is based on its population and is very close to proportional.
– The only body where States have equal power is the Senate, but a single state can’t block anything on its own, and when the votes in the senate are exactly 50%-50%, the vice president of the country has the winning vote.
