I did the karhunkierros. On the first evening after swimming in the river, many mosquitos attacked me, and also little black flies or whatever got on my naked feet. After one day I had many pink points on my feet, and after 3 days they look like this. They don’t hurt or anything but they look ugly and scary as hell. What is this, and is this serious? I noticed similar points on the feet of another guy, chilling at another shelter.

  1. Hard to tell, could be just sweat rash. Does not really look like insect bites. Could be a mild allergic reaction too.

    Not a doctor but if you’re worried or it hurts badly go see one.

  2. Looks like bird fleas or bird mite bites, nothing to worry about, could last for a week.

  4. Damn. This doesnt look too dissimilar to when I had the shingles, fuck me that was unpleasent experience. This isnt shingles, but no doubt thats gotta itch like mad. Zinc paste gave slight relief as did Tummeli as it prevented stuff from directly rubbing the itchy area. Also just applying pressure helped for the same reason. So maybe put some paste on it and then put on a sock or something.

  5. Maybe something like Fucidin or Sibicort to ease the mild local inflammation/reaction?
