I deleted the first post because it wasn’t the peak of the day. This is the highest registered for 24 August 2023.

  1. By being in a yellowy-orange area. Yay for living out of airbnbs!

  2. Love those 9 degrees in western Sicily, I wonder if they put the thermometre in some sort of refrigerator to piss off the meteorologists.

  3. Was 41C two hours ago here where I live. How do I personally deal with it? Thinking about Saturday and the fact that the temperature then should be 22C (according to the prediction). Where I live, it lasted only a week, so I consider myself lucky compared to those who had to endure it during almost the whole Summer.

  4. Chilly and raining in the North of England.

    Summer has been miserable!

  5. Actually it is 14°C and overcast in NRW Germany RN.

  6. I live in Ireland, what’s this about a heat wave.

We just had the wettest coldest July on record. We had only two days that it didn’t rain. I had to dig out my winter clothes and bedding.

The past two weeks have finally felt like summer, but it hasn’t been overly warm.

  7. Hit 39C for a few hours here today. I’ve retreated to the coldest room of the house, underwear only… no socks even!

I take solace in the fact that certain wines will probably be outrageously good this year.

  8. So I worked at the office today with airconditioning. It was 27C here so nothing special.

  9. Have been travelling on bus all day luckily ac worked, on the first bus ac worked so good it started leaking from the roof 😥

  10. Luckily, three years ago I had AC installed in my flat. One of my best decisions evah.

  11. What heatwave? Fucking cold summer in southern Norway (June was good though).

  12. Red color for 25-30 degrees, this should be perceived as a heat? OMG.

  13. Southern France is 42 °C and Tripoli is 28 °C. Why? Is there any justice in this world?

  14. Whenever my Finnish friend complains about 18°C being too hot… something just snaps in me. I would kill for 18° to be the highest temp here.

Instead, we have a “pleasant” 35° or even more sometimes in Hungary.

I don’t even want to leave my room most of the time during summer. The only thing out there is dry hot air, or even worse, humid hot air… and a bunch of mosquitos.

  15. Saying hi from Madrid BBQ, by my side, fried onions and fried potatoes

  16. Like every summer ..close everything during the day , open everything during the night ..drink a shitload of water, have a shower if it’s way too hot. . Wish it would stop going over 35C during the day tho.

  17. Didnt reach Estonia :(. But was still warm enough to play volleyball at the beach

  18. I live near Brest, the most western tip of France at around 17°, so I am dealing with it quit well.

If some people want to spend vacations here next year, tell me 😉

  19. I am in Portugal at the moment and although its hot, its August, its supposed to be hot, it always has been. I normally live in Ireland and its so depressing and grey and wet every day that I feel like waisting my life living there.

  20. To be honest I don’t know why people are being so dramatic about the weather, to me this summer had the least amount of unbearable heat days. I know as a kid how much I had seen forecasts for 40+ degrees and this time it was only for about two-three days or so.

  21. I’m looking southwards with deep envy. This summer has been like a chilly autumn, just with longer days.

  22. It’s cool here. We get too much sun though and I hate it.

  23. According to the map 34 degrees… Just turned the QC on that’s it

  24. What heatwave? It was a very comfortable 22 degrees here.

  25. I’m fine. I live in Ireland. Actually wore a jumper today because its chilly in the wind

  26. I wore a coat and a hoodie when I left home this morning ao I didn’t freeze

I also had an umbrella so the rain didn’t bother me

  27. Im in Greece. Good thing the sea is close. 39 today in Corfu
