1. On 24 August 1991, Ukraine regained her independence.

   The history of Ukrainians‘ struggle for freedom has lasted for centuries. The first document of independence was signed in 1918 before the Bolsheviks occupied Ukrainian lands.

   Today, more than ever, it is important to remember the true history of Ukrainian independence and the people who helped restore and consolidate it in 1991. And those who are fighting for it right now on the battlefield and resisting in all possible ways.
