Plastic is in the lid
As far as I understand, you have to take the plastic lining out of the cup itself.
It is a little confusing but I think it’s a special biodegradable plastic lining in the cup that will break down in a composter
Is it not clear beat a sea turtle to death with it
I think the labeling is confusing too. So I looked up compostable plastics and found this:
“Instead of using plastic made from petrochemicals and fossil fuels, compostable plastics are derived from renewable materials like corn, potato, and tapioca starches, cellulose, soy protein, and lactic acid. Compostable plastics are non-toxic and decompose back into carbon dioxide, water, and biomass when composted.”
