  1. Excerpt:

    > Ukrainian troops have attacked through the first main defensive belt, which Russian troops were building for months, Chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley said in an interview published on Aug. 25.
    >
    > General Milley told Jordanian public broadcaster Al-Mamlaka that “it’s too early to say” whether Ukraine’s counteroffensive has succeeded or failed, calling the push “very bloody, slow, long and difficult.”
    >
    > He added that after having liberated “a considerable part” of lands occupied by Russia, Ukrainian forces have a “significant amount of power remaining, and it’s not over yet.”
    >
    > Responding to criticism of the pace of the West’s military support to Ukraine, the general said that Kyiv had received “what they needed when they needed it,” mentioning the provision of anti-tank weapons at the start of the full-scale war as an example of allegedly timely assistance.

  2. Ukraine hitting the gas on those Russian chumps. Hopefully less mines ahead of them.

  3. If the first line is so packed full of meat, there’s nothing left to push through once they get to the second and third line.

May the wind be at their backs, and may lightning strike the orcs more than twice.

  4. pushing for the second line as we speak. godspeed to the ukrainian armed forces

  5. Lines here lines there are irrelevant, when you least except they will have crossed the Dnipro somewhere and will be heading toward Enerhodar and Melitopol from behind while the vatniks run for their lives to the “DPR”.

  6. I hate to be the one but this is too optimistic. I hate that news agencies are invoking the image of a breakthrough when that isn’t what happened. Its attritional and grinding and there are more “main” defense lines to “break through”. This isn’t Karkhiv 2.0, this is Kherson 2.0 but without the river strangling russian logistics. Godspeed to the UAF but baiting people into believing that there was a breakthrough is unhelpful.
