Some 88 members have resigned from @gardainfo so far this year. That includes nine in the last fortnight. There were 109 resignations in 2022. I’d say we’re on easily course to top that number in 2023.

2. Almost 5,000 applied to the Gardai this year.

   There are some Gardai that can retire on a full pension at 50, a lot of these go on to work in the private sector.

3. Full employment so there’s a lot of other options out there. If we were in the middle of a big recession my bet is there would be loads applying for these jobs.

4. dealing with scrotes is not a lot of fun 🤭🤭🤭🤭

5. But they’ll dismiss someone because they’ve a tattoo on their hand 🤚

6. Nobody wants to wear those hideous uniforms.
