Maybe, maybe not. Just going by my constituency, Dublin-Rathdown which is expected to go from 3 to 4 seats, FG and Greens should be guaranteed to keep the three seats between them and I think FF (they’ll probably trot out a Brennan) will get the 4th.
The gains that SF get might be offset by FF/FG gains.
Hope so. Remember when we were all horrified at 10k homeless, now we’ve 12k. Healthcare’s in bits. Government minister for housing making quips at our expense. Justice minister trying to convince us that black is white, and Dublin City is grand?! This coalition should be ashamed to go out in public, but they’ve all got enough cheek for a spare arse.
All they have to do is make some headway during their term, and they’re golden. Getting any of our substantial problems fixed in just one term is pretty impossible, nevermind any potential interference from the outgoing govt before the handover.
Or, they make an absolute balls of it themselves and I make the jump to SocDems.
Sein Fein I think will be worse. They are very pro-immigration even more so then the current lot which is a massive issue in Irish society, Down votings incoming.
