Can you please help me understand this Finnish town home practicality. How does electricity consumption work with these water radiators?
Does running this demand the same consumption as the electric radiators? I understand that in Finland you have different types of heating systems but I am trying to figure this one out, please correct me if I am wrong but my understanding is that the heat from this comes from the water heated in the boiler for shower, basic home stuff which is heated 24/7. If that is the case, why would my consumption increase if I open these valves?
Thanks for your inputs.

Heating and hot water are separate circuits and I don’t know any apartments in Finland having separate metering for heating.
Both types of water are almost always heated with same heat source such as district heat, heat pump or oil furnace.
Hot water should always stay over 52 degrees to keep legionella in order, while radiator heating water is adjusted (usually 20-50 degrees and some cases up to 70) based on how cold it is outside or measurements from aparments.
