Seriously how are they still taking refugees, there’s no where for Irish people.
Does anybody know why Ireland has to take so many even though we have a huge housing crisis?
This post is not against the Ukrainians but more of shock at what the government are doing.

Virtue signalling trumps practical solutions and has done for over 10 years.
Great time to invest in tent manufacturers or small camping equipment startups – there’ll be shanty towns littered across every city in Ireland within 5 years similar to San Francisco.
I’m shocked that you’re shocked the government is doing this.
“How are we still taking refugees” because the alternative is making it illegal for them to enter the country.
Do you favour that?
Its pretty wreckless of the Irish government to continue to bring more people during the housing crisis.
The government are activity facilitating the mass importation of asylum seekers, publishing information on the benifits of coming to Ireland in multiple languages. Wreckless !
We are a tiny country and have already taken in many more Ukrainians that much larger EU countries.
It’s more important to virtue signal.
Ukrainian my Ass… South East Asian’s & Africans let’s actually have a breakdown of the nationality off our new guests.
This is negligence. All of these clowns should resign.
How’s it that when world was taking Irish refugees due to famine etc.
Nobody said ‘there is a housing crisis’.
But whenever Ireland has to take refugees. They just give excuses.
Strange. But whatever argument sounds fair in the heads of people. To justify their hypocrisy.
1) Ireland is not the only country in the world or even Europe with a housing crisis
2) Ireland hasn’t taken in the most Ukrainians in the world or even Europe
3) Ireland isn’t building enough properties, hampered by a lack of tradespeople. We send too many to university and discourage training (have you seen what apprentices get paid?), so we don’t have enough home grown ‘irish’ plumbers, plasterers, electricians and builders. Add to that we’re competing with other countries for an ever lower amount of qualified trades. And let’s be honest, why would a plumber, electrician or builder come to Ireland? High rent, xenophobic abuse, and scrotes ready to assault you.
We’re taking more because we’re contributing less than other countries to the military effort.
