They have to widen the wedge and further suppress Russian artillery, to make it safe to move the western guns forward.
Another marker of success will be, not losing any significant ground to Russian advances elsewhere on the front. Ukraine is likely to achieve significantly more than just putting a crimp on the land corridor in the coming weeks.
