  1. Yes, they get sent out all the time, don’t click any links and most importantly, don’t share any personal information!

  2. The use of linkr is the giveaway. If it was maltapost it would be their own website url and the fact that you aren’t expecting a package is a dead giveaway

  3. Yes it is a scam. Link takes you to a site which looks like Maltapost. You enter random address and then asks for card details. landing page was ok but coming from a +33 or what ever foreign number is really beginner level scam.

  4. Hello Guys, My girlfriend unfortunately fell for it and pressed the link entered contact details. The site asked for a 28 cents payment, unfortunately she didn´t know it was a scam because she is expecting a package. Any idea or suggestion what to do from here on out? Her card is linked to her revolut so I already told her to send all her money to my revolut for save keeping just in case.

  5. If you weren’t expecting a package it obviously is a scam.

  6. Of course it is a scam. One reason being: look at the web address in the link. The address is not even remotely related to Malta post. This is their domain https://www.maltapost.com.

In a case like this you should almost never click the link anyways and go to their website directly. Same if you get a call from your bank or whomever. In that case tell them thank you, hang up and call the bank yourself to confirm the story (it’s going to be a scam).
