English language use gets a boost in Germany

  2. If countries want to be attractive for immigration they will need to make English a de facto second language.

  3. In all EU nations, English should be officially recognized as a second language, and the EU institutions should just switch to it as primary language.

    Why not just adopt the British legal system, language and apply to join the Commonwealth. If things go well certain countries may apply to join the UK in time.
