I am currently staying with a family member in Switzerland. I see random sprinklers like these all over the mountains. Are these sprinklers placed by people, or is it something natural? They are too close together, so I don’t think they are human-made sprinklers.

  1. Those are swiss mountain elephants spraying water from their trunks.

They are a hybrid species that was derived by crossing mountain goats and African elephants. Originally they were an attraction at Basel Zoo, but in the early 1940s they were moved to the mountains as part of the Reduit to keep them safe in case the Nazis were to invade. Unfortunately, a male and a female escaped when one of the Bernese Mountain dogs that was supposed to guard them got distracted by a Belgian Malinois in heat somewhere near Andermatt. Shortly after they were going at it like rabbits and now their offspring can be seen all the way down to Ticino and even in some parts of Engadin.

  2. WTF? What other types of sprinklers are there other than human made ones?
With this level of stupidity how did you get the money to afford travelling in Switzerland?
