  1. 3 lost Himars?

Argh. No. Only Picture is a Himars. The category is MRLS Systems.

  2. We shouldn’t forget they are fighting against one of the largest armies in the world. Of course the Russian army proved to have flaws, but it is super impressive what they have achieved.

  3. The losses are relatively low. What is the figures for damaged/under repair?

  4. This shows clearly how delusional armchair generals are who see a video of a couple of bunched op Ukrainian tanks and IFVs in a minefield and declare the war lost. I’ve been saying all along that everything less than 50% lost during counter offensive is good. Just 10% is phenomenal. Although it’s tragic on a personal level – people die – on a strategic level it’s very good news. Ukraine will always say they need more, and they do, but there’s 0 reason for despair.

  5. As a reminder the original source is Oryx, they have been very good with sticking to visually confirmed vehicle losses. That being said, with op sec and the general fog of war, they likely aren’t capturing 100%, so real numbers may be somewhat higher.

  6. Careful but constant has been the successful Ukrainian method of pushing the russians in this phase of the war. The minefields are the russians main defense tactic and when paired with their artillery worked well. The numbers of casualties from both make it clear that advancing without modern armored vehicles is deadly. But quality over quantity is the name of the game, especially when the difference is so great (2010 versus 1980). And this is why those F-16 are going to wreck the russians like nothing we have seen yet.

  7. I never believe these charts. I don’t think anyone actually knows the losses that Ukraine has sustained except for Ukrainian intelligence, and no one knows Russian losses. Ukraine and Russian would not release this information, so this chart is just art.

  8. imagine the zfucks sees these and putin tells the completely off charts numbers

  9. what is the difference between an AFV, a APC, MRAP and an IMV

  10. It shows 3 MLRS and a picture of what looks to be a Himar? There hasn’t been any himars lost though, right?

  11. I’d be interested to see what the confirmed / to unconfirmed numbers could be, and also what was recovered / counted as repairable and then moved to spare parts.

I would imagine anything creeping to 30% would be closer to 50% with equipment being repaired / spare parts etc.

I guess this only really applies to tanks and really specialist equipment – as from an APC perspective the US will easily be able to send more Bradley’s and Strykers, which we’ve already seen 1 round of replenishment.
