I lived in rented accommodation from March 2022 – December 2022 before leaving Germany. My landlord was very flakey with return of the deposit, but after much pushing, this was returned to me in March.
She has now sent me this ambiguous looking bill stating that I should pay her €1,261. A cursory google translate tells me this means “management costs” but I can’t tell whether this is something I am actually liable for. A number of things during and after my tenancy made me think that they were trying to rip me off so I am wary of blindly paying.
Has anyone else had something like this?

I guess this is the Nebenkostenabrechnung. As this is page 4, you would have to look at the list of individual costs on the pages before.
It is normal to get a Nebenkostenrechnung each year which lists costs that the whole complex had and which are split on the tenants (e.g. Garbage disposal, maybe heating, maybe water etc).
