    It obviously good that they’re handing it back. But I don’t really believe that any British museum was extremely concerned with how they got their hands on indigenous artefacts back in 1929.

  2. No doubt the Scottish Museum has professionally preserved whereby if it had been left where it was it would now be a pile of rubbish for the ants to be living in. Just like the Elgin Marbles, had they been left in Athens with all of the pollution & Hitlers visits they would be illegible. Just be thankful someone has caringly looked after it.

  3. Weird coincidence that this is happening just after the story about the thefts FROM the museum..
