When russians hear that their average salary is 75.000 rubles per month, they start crying
Um…there is one catch though…
It’s interesting how many things here don’t really mean anything.
The ruble is losing value so fast that it’s unlikely to be a good deal in the long run.
Russian soldiers have complained of not being paid at all, so whatever number is on a piece of paper seems quite irrelevant.
They won’t make it to a year, so calculating the money to a year seems pointless.
Additionally, as risk and the increase in salary rise together, the total value of this job remains the same or becomes worse. If pay goes up 2x, but likelihood of dying 3x, then you’re getting paid less than before in essence.
In the bigger picture, russia is going bankrupt, so the increase in pay merely speeds up the process.
It doesn’t matter how much they promise to pay them… It is a farce (as I’ve seen repeatedly)… either they die (and they are left on the battlefield, so their families don’t get paid).. or they don’t get paid at all, and post a video about it…
And when they run out, they’ll just print more money. What could go wrong?
Is there any confirmation that people are actually receiving this money?
This payment sounds great when you are living in a hut without running water or heating. It lets you dream about a bright future, away from the little village where you currently live. Yes, it is a dangerous job – but it is my ticket out of this misery!
Russia will find people for the lower ranks with this incentive. But when you already have a rather good live (like the people who are qualified for higher ranks), then the danger of getting killed will be much higher than the reward.
