Last weeks i shipped 2 small (30x22x3cm) packages to a other EU country. I’ve spended a lot of time finding the cheapest one (currently with DPD for 16.5 euro)

Now i went to [Postnl.nl](https://Postnl.nl) and found that they can ship it for only 4.5 euro but it looks like that’s not meant for us as it doesn’t allow our belgian postal codes. When i go to [postnl.be](https://postnl.be) instead it costs us 20 euro suddenly.

Why in the world is it so expensive for us belgians to ship stuff? I feel scammed for being a Belgian once again.

If anyone has tips or a better way of shipping, feel free to share. 🙂

(dhl or bpost would even charge me 30-35 euro…)

  1. I don’t know why. It is so frustrating to send packages here bec it’s so expensive
When we want to send packages outside of EU, we always go to NL bec it’s much cheaper!

  2. Every country has their national post company and they have international agreement so they can ship your package cheaper.

When you go postnl.be it is not a national company anymore and the price for parcel for Postnl and bpost is similar Postnl asks 9.30 bpost asks. 10.5 for parcels up to 2 kg

Price differ for smaal package that you have bpost ask 2.09 Euro for 0-50g and. 6.27 Euro for 50-100 g

But post NL asks 4.65 for 0-100 g

So it is just small pricing difference

  3. Possibly an unpopular opinion, but I don’t really see the need for these fast and cheap shipping options. All it does is create shitty stressful jobs with bad pay. PostNL was in the news recently for child labor ffs. Just pay a bit more and don’t expect it to be delivered tomorrow. Better for the carbon footprint too.

  4. Wait untill you start comparing income, pension and general prices of about everything else with our neighboring countries 😅
