Beats the 2021 statistic by 2%, I do think this is now the long term consequences of COVID.
The most dangerous drug is legal and consumed in vast quantities in this country.
This is the result.
More people are seeking relief at a time where everything is getting worse and the future has never looked more miserable.
Everything’s shit, and people need more to drown their sorrows shocker.
It’s cheaper to buy 1lt of Rum than 2 cinema tickets..
This is surely expected? Since the late 90s the UK drinking culture really exploded, to a peak before COVID, and now those people who have had 25-30 years of hard drinking are starting to die in droves?
I can’t imagine that this decreases significantly at any point in the next five years.
Note that this is talking specifically about Scotland, not the UK as a whole.
People are turning to their vices at time when the nations in financial ditch and living is becoming unliveable. Can’t say I’m all the surprised.
