  1. Ah fuck. Looks like there’s some decent stuff coming up. Le sigh, will have to renew the aul license so.

  2. I think for me the most galling thing is: RTE demonstrably **can** do it. They’ve had absolutely cracking dramas, comedies, and documentaries all through the years. Over the past 10 years in particular though they’ve decided they just simply aren’t bothered. Easier to shove out Ryan Tubridy, Joe Duffy, or that awful Lottie Ryan dose.

  3. They should do a corruption-based drama where a public broadcasting company finds different ways to funnel tax payers money into their pockets and fudge their accounts in attempts to look like they’re a responsible and respectful organization.
Then the auditors come and all the drama happens. Big names come out swinging saying they did nothing wrong but has to lose their job anyway because the numbers don’t lie. The funding for the company (maybe through a TV licence model?) starts to dry up and it all leads up to the penultimate episode where the government has to decide whether to bail out the company or let them reap what they’ve sown. God I can’t wait for season 2…..

    It needs a name though….

  4. Do we not have enough drama? Has RTE ever produced anything else? Maybe some Sci-fi for once?

  5. Fingers crossed for a home renovation show based in south Dublin

  6. Maybe a Eurovision type show, where RTÉ replacements plead their case on stage, and the public vote in/out.
