All the big pieces are now in play and it looks to me like the situation very much favors Ukraine.
Hit ’em while they’re weak. You know they’re going to do another round of conscription in ruzzia, despite what they say.
Edit: spelling.
But But But !! Aren’t there millions of Russian men they can call up at the snap of the fingers? I was told they would never run short of men or tanks or ammunition. Somebody has been lying to me.
I wonder if they are dealing with a lot of desertion? They’ve ground their seed corn (military instructors) in a desperate attempt to organize their ranks on the front. At this point… I wonder if the conscripts are even getting “subpar” training? Morale is also likely in the toilet too
Oh, boy. When Russia, who are infamously known for drafting anything old enough to walk, has a lack of infantry, you know things aren’t going well for them.
The only reason Ukraine hasn’t taken back more of their land so far is because of how insanely heavily mined Russia made all the occupied territories over the winter. They are struggling to keep all fronts manned and now starting to burn through the last of their “elite” soldiers.
Apart from making Russia incapable of mounting another offense (and maybe even a coherent defense) the lack of skilled infantry will also mean there’s nobody competent around to train the new recruits either. Apart from all the equipment loses, Russia has degraded its own know-how for a generation
Wouldn’t the time to act be now before the next Russian mobilizatioN?
