If our F16 are good enough to escolt Santa, it’s good enough to protect our country. No need to change.
That’s a weird concept of “updating their fleets”. It’s actually countries who signed jet fighter contracts relatively recently.
One could argue that for example Italy receiving their previously purchased F-35s or developing the ECRS mk2 Typhoon radar with the UK also constitutes “updating the fighter jet fleet”, and similarly with other countries.
Denmark got its first F-35 in April 2021.it and the next 6 delivered will remain in the USA as “training planes”.
So the map seems legit. Denmark is not in process of updating its fighter jet fleet, because we got zero new planes on Danish territory.
The defense has put up their current F-16 for sale though, so they at least appears to expect delivery of these new fancy flying things one day in the next decades. Hopefully before they are needed and the Swedes gets to play the: “We defend Danish airspace” so many times it becomes embarresing.
Germany should be in the not finalized category. The new government wants to replace the Tornado fleet and buy a jet capable of carrying US nukes.

Meanwhile, Germany’s fighter jets are a little more than scrap metal at this point.
Is there a reason why poor countries pick Rafale?
