The news from the Muscovite sources are that 4 aircraft have been destroyed and some fuel storage. No news as to which aircraft they were, but there were some IL-76 on that base, as well as strategic bombers.
They are talking about 20 beaver drones.
If 10 made it, there might be 10 high energy impacts there. Hopefully some strategic bombers.
I have noticed that Russia almost always says there are no victims during attacks on Russian soil. I chuckle at this, because I always think of how much credit Ukraine gets in my eyes for creating such destruction to Russian military assets without loss of life. My guess is that Russia doesn’t see it the same way as I do or they would be putting a different spin on it.
Sorry if this is a dumb question, but would Russia respond with nuclear warfare? What is preventing them from doing so?

Ruzzia just tried to bomb the hell out of Kyiv. This is the knee jerk retaliation for Ukraine’s successful operation. Keep the pressure on the orkostan, bleed it to death by skillful strikes where it hurts. These IL76 were probably among those that were in the air during the start of the invasion, but could not land in Hostomel. I think these are the support planes of the VDV units that are being thrown to plug the breach at Robotne. If true, This means Ukraine just cut the fighting capabilities of those units. Time for Ukrainian artillery to make hamburger out of the SOBs.

So far I’ve only seen two for sure destroyed but that still is a massive loss Ruzzia will not easily replace. These are like C-17s. Maybe not quite as nice but still can carry a lot of heavy equipment or hundreds of men which is plenty valuable.
Definitely the longest strike to date as well and Ruzzia coming out saying there’s destruction indicates they took a fat L.
