I want to sign up for [Magenta Sport](https://www.magentasport.de/), mostly so I can watch the DEL. However, since I live in the USA I am wondering if there is an issue with signing up/streaming the service from here. I tried looking at the FAQ on the website and I didn’t see anything about signing up from outside Germany, however I only speak a little German so I might have missed it on the webpage.

  1. TL;DR you need to be a permanent resident of Germany to use the service and you can’t stream outside of the EU.

Since April 1, 2018, Sport TV options can also be used during a temporary stay (e.g., vacation/business trip, learning mobility) in another member state of the European Union if you can prove that you have your permanent residence in Germany.
By law, Telekom carries out a verification procedure to prove permanent residence when a contract is concluded or renewed, unless proof has already been provided in another way (e.g., as a telephone/Internet connection customer).
The content is offered in other EU countries in the same way as in Germany. However, the quality may be lower – due to the quality of local Internet access – than when used in Germany.
The time-based parental control functions are based on Central European Time (CET/Germany).
