There is the plan of the government to work on the belgian coast to prevent sea level rise. But do you think the government will fulfill on their promise? Would you plan to live at the belgian coast, did you know antwerp is in danger, or even gent. Are you acting accordingly?

  1. Not very. Belgium and other European countries have more than enough money to fight the rising sea levels, they’ve done it over a century ago, this map looks like what would happen if you suddenly stripped the coast of polders and flood containment barriers. It’s poor low-lying countries like Bangladesh and the Pacific islands that are fucked.

  2. I sold my house 3 years ago and moved to the Kempen. Future sea level rise was one of the factors (but not the only one).

  3. And here I was thinking that if Bruges get fucked I’ll just move to Gent.

    REKT.

  4. Ik denk dat Nederland serieus winst gaat maken met hun land herwinning kennis die ze wereldwijd kunnen verkopen.

  5. I will be making an AirBNB for my house with seaside terrace 😅
