Why are no Royal Navy attack submarines at sea?

  1. The subs are under Moscow because the technology is so advanced. Consider “The core”

  2. since their downtime will be covered by allies stepping up their activities, and because they are a part of a larger SSN fleet.

  3. Presumably because the company that has the monopoly on submarine maintenance is motivated by profit, not availability, and the navy is unwilling or unable to translate availability into profit because it will negatively impact their cushy jobs for when they retire from the service.
