  1. …We just sat quietly in the same room as the religion class and did homework (after they said we weren’t insured to be unsupervised in the library)…in 1998&9…

  2. She could have used the religion class to do extra study, if anything she was being given favourable treatment, not like she was forced to do religion,

  3. They do have a point about “creating chaos” but the simplest solution that nobody is mentioning would be to remove religion from the curriculum and make it an extra curricular class. Everyone wins, nobody is excluded.

  4. I went to all of my religion classes in school but can someone please explain to me to me what the “Lamb of God” is, and how exactly it takes away the “sins of the world”?

    …….”have mercy on us”

  5. Just replace the religion curriculum with science and computer coding.

  6. hmm. At the very least it feels like shitty behaviour to force a kid to consume religious beliefs they expressly don’t believe in. We have the right to not have religious beliefs forced upon us. Having her sit in the class means she is having to effectively consume the beliefs. At the least let her sit in the library for the time of the class, or the canteen if there’s no library. At the best this is a technical win for a crap school principal.
