  1. That sounds about right. The UK still pretends it’s a top-notch country, failing to face the facts that it’s a 3rd world country.

  2. You’d think they would condemn any building at risk of collapse, especially one with hundreds of children using it every weekday. The UK is a fucking joke.

  3. Serious underinvestment and a callus lack of care by the government as always. good thing that majority to pass any laws and spending is working to fix this right…..rite?

  4. I used to travel alot in various countries. Too many UK citizens think we as a country are all rich and the rest of Europe has it bad.

Whilst I don’t deny the UK is a rich country the wealth is not spread out at all. When you go to these countries, even small cities on outskirts….. The buildings and roads don’t look half as drab as the ones in the UK.

Honestly… Look at small towns in Italy and compare them to small towns in the UK and the UK looks dreary AF. You’d think the UK were the ex Soviet countries if it weren’t for the Street signs.

  5. There is no excuse or justification for schools needing to be on alert for risk of collapse.

This is 100% something the Tories need to be held to account for – not least because there was that little period of 2 years where building maintenance could have been done with little or no more disruption to children’s education.
