We were out walking around Laksvatn today and came across this post box-thing. Google Translate wasn’t helpful with the sign and looking inside the box we found a book with peoples names and then some numbers.
At first we thought it was a geocache, but the columns were name and address. We tried translating the front of the book and it said ‘Basarbok’ which didn’t translate and then something about a 500NOK gift card?
We tried to puzzle it out, but we really want to know! Is it a challenge? A way for hikers to track their walks? Is it an extreme raffle competition? Who knows! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

A community sports team maintains the path and runs track for skiing during winter. It’s the norwegian version of cashapp to support their work.
Give them some money and come back in winter. You’ll be amazed
