We are blessed in Ireland with the cost of high quality steak. Two, 30 day, dry aged Strip steaks for €5.70

Don’t get Sirloin, it’s leather compared to the Striploin. I’ve got these in Aldi for the last few weeks.
Its great for the consumer but in the long run i think that’s way too cheap to be sustainable. Thats 1/4 of an hours work on miminum wage for a high end product. Im a big meat eater and love a steak but the farmers are being squeezed too much by the factories and the supermarkets. The tighter the margins the more food production becomes industrialised. If we keep going this way well end up with all our cattle in american style factory farm feed lots surviving on imported meal and ruin the reputation for quality we have worked hard to earn

They look exactly like my slippers
Its all subsidized in Ireland , that’s why more cheap
