I’m an Estonian and recently took this up. I don’t know why but I could definitely understand some words even before I started learning. The language feels like someone added vowels and extended Estonian words intentionally to me. I also don’t need to put effort as much as others into learning grammar of Finnish. Obviously I needed enough time to memorise rules and irregulars which is always the hardest part of learning a new language. But as I already knew the concept of partitive and most cases, it must have been a lot easier than others. Anyway, I love learning it and also Finland. Thx for reading this!!
