UK’s BAE Systems to open office in Ukraine, sign deals to localize arms production. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met today with the executives. The two sides signed agreements to localize arms production in Ukraine.

2. YES! this is amazing. since the west is so reluctant to give the weapons, the even better idea is to at least help ukraine make the weapons themselves. Then they will be taught fishing themselves instead of just being give a few fish. this would be longer term help and supply.

   i was just thinking about how the west could at least help ukraine to make the weapons needed, so that no one could claim ukraine is using western weapons on russia. it would be ukrainian develop and produced weapons that ukraine will be able to use however they want.

4. good move.. substantially reduces the overall logistics headache. All that heavy kit that doesn’t need shipping to Ukraine.. the raw materials still need to get there, but much of that can be sourced in country.

7. As I understand it Ukraine and the UK are collaborating on designing a new missile boat, the first two of which will be built in the UK and 6 more will be built in Ukraine. Perhaps in Mykolaiv?
