Fuel prices increasing just as the schools start back. Thanks to our government
Taxing fuel without providing public transport, that’s gonna save the planet under FFG/GP logic.
Already went up in the 2 petrol stations where I live. Bus times won’t get me to work so I’m stuck paying extortionate prices for fuel. Piss take.
Not to mention the vhi soon
We were chatting, eating our dinner. We can’t afford to eat and drink out any more. It does not make sense. Why would we pay €7.50/8.50 for a glass of white wine when you get a bottle for €10/15?
Its ok i got a 6% raise over 2 years.
We’re being ripped off and the only reason it’s continuing to happen is because the public just take it lying down
The economy is going to tank soon
The penalisation of drivers who have no other viable choice
Supposedly excise is paid by the stations to the supplier i.e. there’ll be no immediate extra cost to stations tomorrow morning. Only when they next purchase supply.
Not necessary for them to up prices until they have to restock.
Watch how this is exploited as a way to gouge people even more, 4% rise will equate to lads taking the utter piss and going 20/30/40/50% increases.
What needs to take place is not even a protest its a general strike.
It may be days before forecourts sell their current stock of fuel (which they bought on lower excise rates).
Won’t stop them putting up prices immediately I’d bet
Reminder that the next cost of living protest is coming up on the 7th of October: [https://www.instagram.com/p/Cs3ThoZMfGr/](https://www.instagram.com/p/Cs3ThoZMfGr/).
