Maybe if their own PR wasn’t making trailers and hyping it up as if blitzkrieg was about to happen, people wouldn’t expect blitzkrieg is about to happen.
They can’t counter the critics on the merits so they resort to this. Thousands dead and irreplaceable equipment lost for a few measly villages. Leadership needs to change strategy. Hunker down and fortify major cities. Make Russia overextend . Playing defense will lessen the bleeding in terms of manpower.
Screaming shut and up and then demanding weapons (which didn’t help in the failed counter offensive) is an interesting diplomatic strategy.
