Spain moves to reduce ‘garbage’ temporary contracts

  1. Good move, but isn’t it done too early? Such contacts facilitate hiring, as it’s easier to fire, so more businesses take the risk of hiring. But Spain has 15% unemployment. It’s quite terrible.

    Removing those types of contacts will most likely stop the trend of sinking unemployment rate or maybe even reverse it. It would be so much better to pass such law from a comfortable place of low single digit unemployment rate.
