  1. In the past few days, France and Germany have been strongly calling for the Lachin corridor to be opened while the German FM yesterday spilled some beans:

    > … discussions have been ongoing for several days with the United States to guarantee that the people of Nagorno-Karabakh will receive humanitarian aid.

Borrell also repeated the call to open the Lachin corridor after yesterday’s EU ministerial meeting.

However, the US State Dept yesterday released a statement which included a separate transit route (Aghdam) in their statement.

The EU and US have publicly stated several times that while having common grounds, they also have some differences concerning the conflict. From the recent statements it appears that part of this difference is concerning the fate of Armenians of Nagorno-Karabakh. Also the EU seems to be limited by US interests.

Yesterday the government of Nagorno-Karabakh resigned citing foreign pressure. Artak Beglaryan who is one of the most trusted voices from Nagorno-Karabakh tweeted:

    > Aiding & abetting genocide & crimes against humanity is also a crime. @JoeBiden & @StateDept
are supporting the Aliyev dictatorial/genocidal regime. Prioritizing short-term geopolitical interests over supporting democracy, human rights & preventing genocide is a shame for the US.

Today Azerbaijan has launched attacks against Armenia proper.

If nothing changes expect the final ethnic cleansing of Armenians of Nagorno-Karabakh for good sooner than later.

  2. This happens when your PM is not in business with the POUS.

  3. Lets hope EU ditches the energy deal, sanctions and cuts all ties to the Azeris.

They deserve to fucking go hungry after all they have done. i would call them animals, but that would be offending to acutal animals.

  4. It seems economic interests are always in the forefront and once the genocide has been committed finger pointed at the bad tyrans, forgetting about those who enabled them.

In a few years, decades, governments will STRONGLY deplore this new genocide ignoring the fact that it could have been prevented if it wasn’t for the king $$$ (or €€€) .

  5. They are stopping the world intervention by aligning themselves with Russia. Armenia has a very corrupt government that doesn’t care about its people and most likely if the west does give them weapons to defend themselves, their corrupt pro-Russian president will gift them to Putin while on holiday in Moscow as his people get shelled on.

  6. Europe doesn’t have the strength to do anything for Armenia. Expecially when Turkey is in between.

  7. Why would anyone help a Russian-allied ethnostate? They have nothing to offer and they are unreasonably angry with anyone who isn’t with them. Should’ve invested more in their military than the PR teams and smear campaigns. Good Luck Armenia!
