Northvolt assembles first lithium-ion battery cell at Swedish gigafactory

  1. Can’t switch to all electric cars without batteries. And I see that Sweden has shut down all of its’ fossil fuel plants. Good for them.

    Volvo are made from the ground up in Sweden, and they also have a plant in China. They recently declared that they will stop making gas autos entirely, so that explains the need for the batteries. Not every country needs autonomy, but it makes a lot of sense to have a plant for this purpose. They will still need raw materials of course, so the global market will still be active.

    Why did you decide to be angry at batteries today?
