So, this person has a progressive, incurable, *terminal* (not critical, thanks BBC) condition similar to Charlie Gard, immediate death is prevented exclusively by tubes…. and their family wants them to be weened off medical equipment to be sent to Canada to receive experimental treatment, despite no facilities there currently offering this.

First of these stories I’ve read that doesn’t involve an infant but is in fact an adult of sound mind who is asking to try something.
