Hello, anybody could help me what is going on? I found this at my car today. I’m new in Germany and no clue how to solve this. Bad parking spot or something else?

  1. The owner of the car will get a letter with the details. Until then you can only wait (and try to not do another violation).

  2. It most likely is a parking violation, but the notice gives no details other than that you (allegedly) violated some traffic regulation and will soon receive a written caution with further details.

  3. As others wrote, it’s a parking violation, and the person the car is registered to will receive a letter, soon.

Now: Typically, there’ll be a reduced fine if you pay within 10 days or so. If you do not, you’ll have to pay the regular fine, maybe with additional fees.

  4. This is not an official notification. At least the one I got in the past for a parking violation looked different and not like it had been made with Microsoft Word. probably some civilian whose hobby it is to report people to the police put it there. Now you still might get mail from the police if he took a photo that clearly shows you committed a parking violation and reported it to the police

  5. We have these Tickets in Leipzig. Looks like bad parking spot.
The car owner get a letter in a few days with a small fine.

  6. Is there any information about the issuer of the note after the “Mit freundlichen Grüßen”?

Because in Bavaria, the police also digitalized their fines but there is always a stamp of the issuing police station at the bottom

  7. Is there a QR code and a website written below. Then you have to go there and pay fine.

  8. My mom got this and she lives in Sweden. Has been 2 years and still gotten nothing in her mail

  9. looks like home printed (angry grandpa?)

This was an automatic process… (YES WITH PRINTED PAPER ON YOUR CAR?!?)

  10. “Eine schriftliche Verwarnung” Wazz dat?

Does not look or sound legit official. An offical parking ticket looks different. Most likely you were parking on some private property which you might have thought being public?

Keep us posted what this “verwarnung” is about, please

  11. You get those when parking in private property in many German places. A police or municipal fine looks different.

  12. Maybe it is because I don´t drive but this feels kinda sketchy. Is this what a ticket for a parking violation usually looks like? Also it being automated is not something I am aware of. Add to this the fact that they claim that due to technical difficulties you can´t contact them beforehand. Do you know where the nearest police station is? I would make sure that this is on the up and up and not some new kind of scam.
