Good, it makes sense. Almost every country in the world including the UK implemented some targeted border measures against other countries to buy some time with Omicron. It is clear that isn’t a prudent measure anymore as Omicron approaches its dominance globally.

That ban was obviously pointless, but our leaders are dumb fucks as it seems. Bans do nothing to slow the spread
So they just made sure people could not see their families in Germany over Christmas.
This makes me so mad. My brother visiting from the UK for Christmas had to spend his whole Christmas break indoors and we had to cancel restaurant reservations, etc. Not to mention the £299 emergency PCR test he had to take because Germany randomly cut the time before the flight to take the test from 72 hours to 48 hours with one day notice. He’s taken so many PCR tests by now, he’s clearly negative, he should be able to at least go on walks!
