  1. Good, we need to take more ideas from the French in this regard.

    >The Met said in a statement that it treats crimes related to ULEZ “seriously and has deployed considerable resources to our operation”.

If only they did this for crimes that actually affect a lot of people, not just the rich, like theft, burglary, rape, and the blatantly corrupt government.

  2. I’m also going to say ‘good’. Even though I see what they are trying to do, it’s a scammy way of going about it.

  3. You do realise that sending resources does involve two plastic coppers on push bikes…

  4. Dad: Its important that you stand up for your rights, and fight for what is good and just.

Kid: Have you ever done that dad?

Dad: Yes, I smashed up a load of cameras that were part of a scheme to improve the air quality of the city. Soon saw to that rubbish though, didn’t i?

  5. Come on guys obviously surveillance cameras are the way to tackle air pollution. Don’t worry, we’re totally trustworthy politicians and we wouldn’t implement Chinese style policies under the guise of saving the children from bad air quality.

  6. Its one of those whiplash moments in UK Politics/Society.

Like when we were all supposed to *fucking hate* Insulate Britain, immediately before going into a winter crisis with spiking energy costs.

Now we’ve had months of people outright calling Just Stop Oil *terrorists* because walking slowly down a road might somehow someway lead to someone dying. Immediately followed by groups of actual masked thugs going round destroying public property, somehow that’s all just fine and normal.

I just want this ride to stop. I want the people who’ve been infected by all these mind worms to just calm down and stop seemingly doing everything they can to make this country worse for no damn reason.

  7. Do these people just think that once it’s destroyed that’s it over?

Are they incapable of realising that the taxpayer just needs to pay for another camera and someone to install it?

  8. There are several up near where my parents live. Pretty much all of them have been taken out or damaged. There are FB groups co-ordinating and encouraging it.

  9. Why are they calling themselves blade runners?….from the film? Where they act as the police on a dying world, a world destroyed by pollution? A world in which the rich and powerful have abandoned the poor and other undesirables now that they have synthetic slaves?.

  10. ULEZ starting to feel a bit like a localised version of the poll tax…quite unpopular and disobedience/damage but without a clear understanding of the issues or alternatives
