  1. Time to drop the special travel restrictions on the UK I suppose. After all, it was just to slow the spread of Omicron in France given the UK had such “high” numbers, right?

Which of course worked out very well, it was a very measured and rational policy that any sane country would have done seeing as it was bound to have mitigated the spread of Omicron, especially seeing as it was only the UK that was a threat to greater importation of the virus into France. The world could learn a thing or two from France about reducing Omicron case numbers.

  2. I’m now just want to know the death and hospitalization tolls, that’s all my focus

(Sorry, wrong typing, fuck google voice typing)

  3. The EU should allow EU citizens to easily get a vaccine or additional vaccine (booster) in any other EU country and get that jab easily and immediately registered into the EU citizen’s vaccination app.

If an EU citizen from country A takes a corona vaccin jab in country B, country A should reimburse EU country B upon invoice later on. It should be possible to organize that using a standard tariff.

This would help support the tourism sector across Europe, lead to more vaccinations and diminish vaccination rule stress among travelers. And this is what we have the EU for, to solve problems that are more effectively solved EU wide.

  4. Good job they shut the border to British people. Really helped that!

As per usual the French taking an opportunity to make life harder for British people for no reason.

This is why we think they are assholes.

  5. I actually think that it might be a good thing, and that Omicron might be the ‘corona killer’ strain. It is both extremely transmissible and the with symptoms not much worse than the common cold. Basically everyone unvaxxed is likely to get it in the near future, and then develop antibodies. So there would be barely anyone without antibodies left, and the virus would die out.

  6. Good job France! Let’s get to 300,000 for that golden medal!

Why are governments and media treating this as if its a contest for who has the most vaccinated or the most covid cases? Focus on how many deaths you have, what underlying issues the people that died had and solve it…

  7. And the more this goes, the more the anti everything get validated. Impressed it’s this low tho, easily could’ve been 7 digits

  8. If it’s mostly Omicron, who cares?

It monstrously contagious and its symptoms are so mild as to be mostly an inconvenience.

If these infections pass on natural immunity to those infected, and the outcomes to those infected are so mild, isn’t this good news for France?
