Southern Europeans (Turkey, Greece, Italy, Spain, Portugal) working in Germany, France and UK are visiting their families for Christmas…
Cases is a useless metric.
They will keep going up and down for years.
The virus will be here for decades.
Deaths is the only meaningful statistic, and in deaths you can see the vaccination (especially in older ages) gap between Greece and Portugal.
Surprising how fast it’s spreading on almost completely vaccinated Portugal
Basically now with various testing cases mean nothing. Hospital admissions, ICU admissions, deaths and predicting factors as in vaccinations, boosters and immunity post disease (plus mix) are the issues to watch. Sadly it all gets more complicated now and can’t be put into a table, so it all gets confusing now. The least confusing issue is vaccinate and boost, but that seems to be the most debated one (not your post in general)… go figure, strange days
Too bad the Argentina also serious
Man these are pre-vaccine numbers. So fucking depressing.
Seeing these numbers and how we’ve been living with covid for two years by now, surely the vast majority of the planet must have had covid at some point by now, no?
