Most major cities in the world would have sanitation workers out early in the morning, theres a lot of things to be embarrassed about but this isnt one of them, it’s just a necessary service.
Bins have to be emptied, how is it embarrassing, it’s a respectable job. Most busy night in Dublin is Saturday and Sunday, bins get full on Saturday, if they aren’t emptied on Sunday morning the street would be full of litter, this isn’t slave labour, they are being paid, usually double pay for sundays. It’s usually voluntary to take that shift. Nothing embarrassing about the favt the job has to be done, or wanting the few quid to do it. Don’t really understand the point in the post
I’m sure their salaries provide them with all of the motivation they need.
It’s hardly embarrassing. They’re changing the bins and cleaning the place up, it’s part of their job? Go to any major European city on a weekend morning and you’ll see people cleaning the streets.
I think OP didn’t mean to disparage the workers. They meant that it was embarrassing the state the place is left in by people after a night out. Other cultures are much better at cleaning up after themselves
