  1. The siege of Drogheda also began on 3 Sept but in 1649.

    From Wiki….

Cromwell’s body was exhumed from Westminster Abbey on 30 January 1661, the 12th anniversary of the execution of Charles I, and was subjected to a posthumous execution. His body was hanged in chains at Tyburn, London, and then thrown into a pit. His head was cut off and displayed on a pole outside Westminster Hall until 1685

  2. Did we not send an army over to fight on his side, thus getting the name the rebel county ?

  3. Had a weird dream about him once where I cut off his finger which had a big jewel encrusted ring on it and I gave him loads of abuse and came back to our time and they did a DNA test and didn’t believe it was his even though it was and the results said it was and they didn’t let me keep the ring.
