  1. Bizarre and disturbing that this was even a thing, and even worse that it was used for low-level crimes.

  2. Phone theft? Nah. He was jailed for a street robbery. Lots of previous before that too. Had already previously served a 4 year prison sentence.

    A life of alcohol and drugs funded by stealing phones and money.

    I’m sure having a drink and drug fuelled 6’4 man robbing you and prison being no deterrent was a lovely prospect for his community.

    “He was very musically talented”. It was gonna be that or a gifted footballer.

    11 years he’s been inside for street robbery, I think most people would say that was a good sentence.
